Question: People said they smelled gas for days before the incident. Did those calls come to 311? What efforts are being done to check?de Blasio: We took those reports seriously. We reviewed the data.Aide: We went back 30 days and there were no reported gas leaks at both 311 and 911.Question: Did Con Ed get any calls?Con Ed: We found 2 calls over the past 3 years, repaired within the date the report came.

Never be afraid to avail themselves to services. That message needs to be communicated time and time again. Have to be sensitive to linguistic needs.
